Student Rules & Discipline
Discipline is the backbone of success at Annai Matriculation School. Every student is expected to uphold the dignity of the institution through good manners, punctuality, and respect for others. Students should maintain a cheerful attitude, obey teachers, and take pride in representing the school. They must arrive on time, participate actively in all activities, and strive for excellence in academics and behaviour.
Students are encouraged to greet teachers and elders with respect, speak politely with peers, and uphold the values of honesty, kindness, and humility. The school expects every learner to take responsibility for their actions and contribute positively to the school community.

Students must show courtesy and respect to all teachers, staff, and classmates. -
Maintain silence and orderliness in classrooms, corridors, and assembly areas. -
Handle all school property with care; any damage must be reported and compensated. -
Avoid the use of foul language, teasing, or rude behaviour. -
Students should not bring mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or expensive jewellery to school. -
Participate in school prayers, functions, and celebrations with sincerity. -
Cultivate habits of cleanliness, discipline, and cooperation in every activity.

Students must be punctual and attend school regularly. Late arrivals will be permitted only with the principal’s consent. -
A minimum attendance of 90% is required to appear for examinations. -
Students should wear neat and complete school uniform on all working days. On birthdays or special occasions, they may wear decent coloured dress. -
Hair must be neatly groomed; nails should be clean and trimmed. -
Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, school premises, and school buses. Every student shares the responsibility to keep the campus litter-free and hygienic.
Students must complete their classwork and homework on time and revise lessons regularly.
All assignments, projects, and notebooks must be neatly maintained and submitted as instructed.
Parents’ signatures should be obtained on circulars, progress reports, and home assignments.
Students must bring the school diary and required books every day.
Books, stationery, and belongings should be well-labeled and carefully handled. The school is not responsible for loss of personal items.
No student is permitted to leave the school premises during class hours without written permission from the principal.
Leave applications must be submitted in advance. In case of illness, a medical certificate should accompany the leave letter.
Continuous absence of more than 10 days without permission will result in removal of the student’s name from the rolls.
Students must pay fees promptly; defaulters will not be permitted to attend classes or examinations.
Any act of disobedience, disrespect, or indiscipline may lead to appropriate disciplinary action.
A spirit of obedience, cooperation, and self-control is expected at all times.
